The Humanities Research covers a diverse array of streams within the field of humanities, including but not limited to:
  • Literature: This stream encompasses the study of written works, including fiction, poetry, drama, and literary criticism. Research may focus on analyzing literary texts, exploring literary movements and genres, or investigating the cultural and historical contexts of literature.
  • History: History examines the past through the study of events, people, societies, and cultures. Research in this stream may include political history, social history, economic history, cultural history, and intellectual history, among others.
  • Philosophy: Philosophy explores fundamental questions about existence, knowledge, ethics, and the nature of reality. Research topics may include metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, political philosophy, aesthetics, and the philosophy of science.
  • Linguistics: Linguistics investigates the structure, function, and evolution of language. Research in this stream may cover areas such as phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, and historical linguistics.
  • Religion and Theology: Religion and theology examine the beliefs, practices, and doctrines of religious traditions. Research may focus on specific religions, comparative religion, religious texts, theology, spirituality, and religious studies.
  • Cultural Studies: Cultural studies analyze the production, dissemination, and reception of cultural artifacts and practices. Research in this stream may include media studies, popular culture, cultural theory, cultural anthropology, and cultural criticism.
  • Art and Visual Culture: Art and visual culture explore the creation, interpretation, and significance of visual art forms. Research topics may include art history, art criticism, aesthetics, visual culture studies, and the intersections between art and society.
  • Interdisciplinary Research: The Humanities Research Journal welcomes interdisciplinary research that integrates multiple streams within the humanities or bridges the gap between humanities and other disciplines such as social sciences, natural sciences, or technology.

Micro Research Snapshot is a concise and impactful format designed to showcase cutting-edge research in a brief and accessible manner. Authors interested in publishing their work in Micro Research Snapshot are encouraged to follow the submission guidelines outlined below:

  • Scope: Micro Research Snapshot accepts submissions across a wide range of disciplines within the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and interdisciplinary fields. The research presented should be novel, relevant, and of interest to a broad audience.
  • Format: Submissions should adhere to the prescribed format for Micro Research Snapshot, which typically includes a brief abstract summarizing the research findings, key insights, and implications. The Asian Journal of Literature operates as a subsidiary of The Asian Group of Literature. Operating from Sri Lanka, The Asian Group of Literature manages a prestigious international literary prize called ‘The Asian Prizes’, a well-received literary magazine known as ‘The Asian Review’, The Asian Literary Agency, and The Asia Books (Publisher and Bookstores). The Asian Review operates in three languages, namely English (The Asian Review International), Sinhala (The Asian Review Sinhala operating from Sri Lanka), and French (The Asian Review French operating from Montreal, Canada). The core purpose of the Asian Journal of Literature is to facilitate a peer-reviewed publishing platform for academics across different sectors globally, promoting the exchange of learning and research beyond geographical boundaries.
